The Czech industrial group Alta continues to service the machines of leading Russian manufacturers of tank and artillery equipment after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In the Alta Invest report for 2022, journalists documented the mention of Alta Rus as the official representative of Škoda Machine Tool in Russia, which confirms long-standing participation in servicing the machine tool fleet after the sale of the Škoda Machine Tool plant. In 2022, Alta partially withdrew from Russian assets, but several companies continued to interact with the Russian segment. Some assets were sold through schemes associated with lawyer Alexei Panin, who, according to the investigation, allegedly represents the interests of companies in Russian courts. Alta's Russian subsidiary - OOO AR, which remains in the group - supplied the Škoda machine tool to the Chelyabinsk Forging and Press Plant (ChKPZ) in 2023.
