Russian 9M727 cruise missile contained company's components. Supply channels to Russia have remained open despite Western export restrictions and manufacturer bans. Shipments of another foreign processor, AMD, decreased year-on-year by 81%, to 17 thousand units (94 thousand in 2023), in monetary terms - by 84%, to 142 million rubles (918 million rubles). Chipmakers Intel Corp., Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Texas Instruments Inc. have been accused in a series of lawsuits of failing to block the use of their technology in Russian weapons used to kill and injure civilians in Ukraine. AMD is suspending its sales and distribution of its products into Russia and Belarus according to comments provided by official representatives to press. There are no official statements of the company. In one case, a Russian 9M727 cruise missile, one of the country's most advanced weapons that can manoeuvre at low altitude to evade radar and can strike targets hundreds of miles away, contained 31 foreign components. The parts were made by companies that included U.S-based Texas Instruments Inc and Advanced Micro Devices Inc, as well as Cypress Semiconductor, which is now owned by Infineon AG, a German company, the RUSI investigation found.
