All purchases were financed by Dubai-based Eiger Shipping DMCC, which is owned by Litasco Middle East DMCC, the Middle East subsidiary of Litasco, Lukoil's oil trading division. Eiger provided the money in advance, chartering the vessels in preparation for acquisition.
