Silgan Holdings is a Connecticut-based American manufacturing company that produces consumer goods packaging. The company was founded in 1987 by two former executives of Continental Can, Phil Silver and Greg Horrigan - their names contributing to the company name.

Putin transferred another asset of the American company Silgan, Vonorus LLC, to the management of the Federal Property Management Agency, according to a presidential decree. Last summer, the Federal Property Management Agency also transferred assets of the Austrian company Silgan Holdings in Russia: Silgan Metal Packaging Stupino LLC in the Moscow region and Silgan Metal Packaging Enem LLC in Adygea. Media reports indicated that both assets were transferred to the Moscow-based company Engo, which is owned by the Development Corporation of the Republic of Adygea and the administration of one of the republic's districts.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of the Russian assets of the Austrian metal packaging manufacturer Silgan Holdings Austria to the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency. The Russian assets of a major Austrian-American manufacturer of metal food packaging Silgan Holdings, which were transferred to the Federal Property Management Agency in the summer of 2024, ended up under the control of a company owned by the Republic of Adygea. This is evidenced by data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE). We are talking about factories in Stupino near Moscow and Enem in Adygea. They will now be managed by Engo LLC (Moscow), which is 99% owned by the Republic of Adygea Development Corporation (1% by the administration of the Takhtamukaysky District of the republic). The factories will continue to ensure the stability of "regional cooperation chains" for food production, the press service of the Republic of Adygea Development Corporation noted.
