Analysts from the Economic Security Council in Kyiv examined thousands of entries in international trade registers under the customs code "HS 3907300009", i.e. epoxy resins. And they concluded: Italy was the largest European supplier of epoxy resins and the second largest supplier in the world after China, "at least from January to September 2024, accounting for 21% of total imports of this material to Russia." According to Ukrainian authorities, there is only one supplier: the chemical company Sir Industriale, based in Macerio in Brianza, which has about two hundred employees and a detailed presentation on its website about ethics related to corporate social responsibility. "Among the Russian buyers," the Economic Security Council of Ukraine continues, "are Uralprotect LLC, NPP Yazpk, and Prime Top LLC, all of which are linked to KBM (Kolomen Engineering Bureau), the design bureau responsible for the Iskander-M missile."
