The company applies French and international economic sanctions. The company decided to put on hold all of its foreign investments and its major development projects in the country. Intention to withdraw from Russia - signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the local management team with the objective to transfer its activities in Russia in the framework of an Management Buy Out. In September 2022, Air Liquide announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding to sell its Russian business to a local management team. However, the deal never received approval from the Russian government, leaving the company in limbo. Russian President Vladimir Putin has transferred the assets of the French chemical company Air Liquide in Russia to the temporary management of the company M-Logistics, according to a decree by the head of state published on the official legal information portal.
