Maaden International Investment LLC (a subsidiary of Oman's state fund Mercury Investments International LLC) bought 23.9% of the share capital of the Russian Polymetal from Powerboom Investments Limited (a subsidiary of the ICT Holding group). Polymetal plans to sell russian assets to avert sanctions risk. The company confirmed it is considering moving its parent company’s domicile and primary listing, currently in Jersey and London respectively, to “Russia-friendly” Kazakhstan. "In light of recent developments, and in the interests of preserving shareholder value, the board and the special committee have decided to consider all possible options available for divestment of JSC Polymetal and its subsidiaries," Polymetal International said in a statement. Precious metals producer Polymetal International has agreed to sell its Russian assets to a Siberian gold miner for about $3.7 billion.
