New TCL smartphones go on sale in Russia. Chinese TCL began production of TVs at the Russian enterprises Kvant and STI Group. The Chinese TV brand TCL has refused to supply its components to Russian contract manufacturers Quantum and STI Group amid the risks of sanctions. The leaders of the Russian TV market, Chinese Haier, TCL and Huawei, are negotiating with Yandex about installing the YaOS operating system (OS) on all devices supplied to the Russian Federation.
